Make this Pecan and Goat Cheese Bruschetta on repeat for all your fall entertaining. Crisp pieces of baguette bread topped with sweet caramelized onions, salty pecans and soft goat cheese. A delicious fall appetizer that everyone will love.
Place a medium sized skillet over medium to high heat. Add the olive oil and the onions. Give a good stir and brown for about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium low and continue to cook onions until they are caramelized, about 15 more minutes. Remove from heat.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F/180 degrees C. Drizzle one tablespoon of olive oil on a baking tray. Place all the baguette slices on the baking tray. Drizzle over the remaining oil. Bake for about 10 minutes or until crispy. Remove from oven.
Top each piece of bread with the caramelized onions, pecans and goat cheese. drizzle with honey and sprinkle over fresh chives if desired.
Serve immediately.
