Puff Pastry Pizza Bites

Easy to make Puff Pastry Pizza Bites are a great party food to enjoy all year. By using just four simple ingredients, these come together pretty quickly and can be enjoyed hot or even at room temperature!

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F/190 degrees C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 35 bite sized squares (or however many your sheet will make).  I cut these into 2 inch/5 cm squares.
  • Lay all the squares onto the baking tray.  Top each pastry square with about half of a teaspoon of pizza sauce, sprinkle over oregano and top with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake between 15 - 18 minutes or until the pastry has puffed up, the cheese is melted and they are golden.
  • Remove from oven and serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Make sure the puff pastry is cold - Puff pastry is much easier to work with when it's cold. So take it out of the fridge just before using.
  2. Use parchment paper - This will ensure you get the pizza bites off the tray easily.
  3. Prep ahead - You can prepare these up to about four hours before baking. Just cover them with foil and keep them in the fridge until baking time.
