1 Cup flour 1 Cup brown sugar 1/2 Cup butter melted 1 Egg 2 Teaspoons vanilla 3/4 Cup chocolate chips 1 Cup cherries fresh, pitted and roughly chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and line an 8 x 8 inch baking tin. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar. Mix just until combined. Whisk in the vanilla and the egg. Stir in the flour.
Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped cherries.
Pour into prepared pan and evenly smooth out. Bake for around 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few crumbs.
Place on a wire rack to cool. Cut into 16 squares.
