Spiced Honey Lime Shrimp

With a little time and few ingredients, you can have these Spiced Honey Lime Shrimp on the table in no time at all. Tender and juicy shrimp marinaded with tart lime, sweet honey and a lick of sriracha. Great served as an appetizer or with some Fried Rice as a main course.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp raw, (approximately 20 - 25)
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 whole lime
  • 1/2 tsp salt

For Garnish

  • 1 lime cut into wedges
  • 2 small Green onions finely diced

Instructions

  • Peel and clean the shrmip.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the sriracha sauce, honey, soy sauce, lime juice and salt. Whisk to combine.
  • Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat.
  • Arrange about 5 shrimps on each skewer.
  • Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat and add a little olive oil.
  • Place all the skewers in the skillet and allow each side to cook for about 3 - 4 minutes. Press down firmly with a spatula to ensure even cooking.
  • Remove immediatley when cooked and squeeze over extra lime juice and sprinke with green onions. Serve immediately.
