Lemon Garlic Butter Pasta

This Lemon Garlic Butter Pasta is easy, quick and very satisfying. Tender cooked pasta in a creamy butter & lemon pasta sauce. Using fresh lemon juice and zest for the best flavour. Put it on your dinner rotation this week!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta
  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 Onion diced
  • 3 Garlic cloves crushed
  • 3/4 Cup parmesan grated
  • 3/4 Cup cream
  • 1/2 Cup vegetable stock
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Zest of one lemon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon dried basil
  • Small bunch fresh chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large pot, cook pasta according to package. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet set over medium high heat, add the butter and garlic. Let the butter melt and come to a sizzle. Add onions and sautee down for about 5 - 8 minutes.
  • Stir in cream, stock, lemon juice and lemon zest. Bring to a simmer and let thicken for a few minutes.
  • Add in pasta, cheese, parsley and basil. Season with a little salt and pepper and serve straight away.
