No Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Squares

All fans of peanut butter and chocolate need to make these No Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Squares. The base is made with a mix of peanut butter, ground almonds and sugar. Which make them even gluten free. Then they are topped with silky dark chocolate for a decadent taste. A great make ahead treat to stock up the freezer.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 Cup butter melted
  • 2 Cups ground almonds
  • 1/2 Cup brown sugar
  • 5 oz dark chocolate chopped
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • Sea salt flakes

Instructions

  • Line an 8 x 8 inch baking dish with parchment paper and set aside. Combine the melted butter, peanut butter, ground almonds & brown sugar. Stir until you have a smooth consistency. Pour into your prepared baking dish and smooth out until even. Set aside. In a medium saucepan set over low heat add the chocolate until it melts, this will only take a couple of minutes. Stir as it melts. Remove from heat and stir in the maple syrup. Pour over your peanut butter base and smooth out until completely covered and smooth. Sprinkle with a few sea salt flakes. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
