Easy Tiramisu Recipe

It doesn't get a whole lot easier than this decadent and delicious Easy Tiramisu recipe. A take on the classic Italian dessert without using eggs. It's put together in just about 15 minutes and there is no baking required. A coffee flavoured dessert with layers of sweetened mascarpone cheese and topped with a dusting of cocoa powder.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 24 lady finger biscuits approximately
  • 2 cups brewed coffee
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  • Have ready a deep sided 8 x 8 inch baking dish. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the whipping cream, granulated white sugar and vanilla extract. Mix on high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the mascarpone cheese and continue to mix on high speed until light and fluffy, about one to two minutes more. Set aside.
  • Quickly dip the lady fingers, on at a time, in the brewed coffee. Careful not to dip too long or they will fall apart. Cover the entire bottom of the baking dish with the coffee soaked lady fingers. Evenly spread over about half of the mascarpone whipped cream. Repeat another layer with the coffee soaked lady fingers. Evenly spread over remaining mascarpone whipped cream.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at lease three hours to overnight.
  • When ready to serve, remove from fridge and dust with cocoa powder. Cut into squares and serve cold.
