Soy Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Soy Glazed Pork Tenderloin is a delicious dish made in under an hour and is great for family dinners or weekend entertaining. Serve it up over fluffy white rice with some steamed vegetables on the side for a complete dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork tenderloin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce + 2 tablespoons divided
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water + 1 tablespoon divided
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F/190 degrees C. Have a rimmed baking pan ready and set aside.
  • Season both sides of the pork tenderloin with salt, pepper and rub over the minced garlic. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet set over high heat. Place the pork in the hot skillet and brown each side for about 2 minutes.
  • Remove from skillet and place on a large sheet of aluminium foil. Drizzle over the honey and two tablespoons of the soy sauce. Fold over the foil wrap and make sure it's sealed. Place in the baking pan and cook in the oven for about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside to rest for 5 minutes.
  • In a small saucepan set over medium heat, add the soy sauce, 1/2 cup/118 ml of the water and brown sugar. Bring to a boil and add the pan juices from the pork. Combine the cornstarch with the remaining tablespoon of water and stir to combine. Pour this into the sauce and whisk until it thickens. Remove from heat.
  • Slice the pork into 1/4 inch slices. Serve topped with the sauce and sesame seeds.
