Make a great dessert this weekend! This Dulce de Leche Brownie Torte is amazing. A torte filled with sweet dulce de leche, walnuts and chocolate. Delicious!
I have spent the best part of the afternoon in the kitchen puttering around and making stuff. Honestly, I love Saturday afternoons spent in the kitchen with no real plans just a clean slate. That was my afternoon. Husband at work, son out to a party, daughter studying, dog at my feet and the cat on the counter. Of course she is on the counter. So, the ideal “me time” afternoon.
I thought that it has been a while since I have made a proper dessert. Sure, some cookies and muffins along the way, but not a real dessert to dive into. So, today with not much on the plate, I though why not make a dessert. Chocolate came to mind, well because it just always does. I combined a few of my brownie recipes and came up with this delicious Torte. Easy to make and even easier to eat! Don’t miss out on the chocolate sauce because it brings it to a whole other level. Ice cream…….might even bring to somewhere else!
Note: I used condensed milk in this recipe and simmered it until it turned into dulce de leche. You can easily use the bought dulce de leche if you have it in your local supermarket.
And friends if you love this torte, you need to check out my Caramel Chocolate Layer Cake. You will love that one as well. Happy baking!
