Instructions

  1. Preheat oven – Preheat oven to 375ºF/190ºC and line a large baking sheet with aluminium foil. Place a baking rack on top of the baking sheet.
  2. Arrange bacon – Lay out all the strips of bacon on the baking sheet and make sure they are not overlapping. Evenly sprinkle the brown sugar over bacon.
  3. Bake – Place the bacon in the oven with the oven rack set in the middle of the oven. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, rotating the baking sheet half way through baking.
  4. Serve – Remove from oven and dab with paper towels to remove any excess fat. Can be served immediately or stored for later.

Recipe Tips

  • Line baking tray – Although not necessary, it’s a good idea to line the baking tray with foil for easy clean up.
  • Rotate the baking tray – To ensure even baking, you can rotate the baking tray half way through baking.
  • Watch baking time – Depending on how well done you like your bacon, baking time will vary. It will be between 15 – 20 minutes.
  • Bacon hardens as it cools – Keep in mind, that as bacon cools, it does harden. So it’s best to take it out of the oven a couple of minutes before you think it’s fully ready.
