What Are These Chicken Tenders Like

  • Difficulty – This is a super easy recipe to make and it’s done from start to finish in about 30 minutes.
  • Taste – The chicken is tender and juicy with a crunchy bread crumb coating. And don’t forget the Cajun spice that really elevates these tenders.
  • Serving – I used 1lb of chicken tenders, which served 4 people. You can easily adjust the serving size in the recipe card at the end of the post.

Ingredients

  • Chicken – I used chicken tenders.
  • Bread crumbs – I used fine bread crumbs, they work best.
  • Cajun seasoning – I used my Homemade Cajun Seasoning, but store bought works great too.
  • Eggs – Eggs are used to dip the chicken into before adding the bread crumb mixture.

NOTE The full recipe and ingredient list can be found at the end of the post in the recipe card.

  3. Coat chicken – Dip the chicken tenders in the beaten egg and then the bread crumbs. Repeat for all chicken.

Recipe Tips

  • Press the bread crumbs onto the chicken – Be sure to firmly press the bread crumbs onto the chicken. Otherwise it may fall off while baking.
  • Baking – These will bake crispy in the oven. Just make sure to use the rack on top of the tray. This will ensure they don’t go soggy underneath.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Chicken Tenders and Chicken Strips the same thing?

No, chicken tenders and chicken strips are not the same. Chicken tenders are the entire chicken tenderloin. Chicken strips are pieces of chicken cut from the chicken breast.

What are Chicken Tenders?

Chicken tenders are a little different from chicken breast. They are, in fact, tenderloins that are located underneath the chicken breast along the breastbone. And like chicken breast, each chicken contains two tenderloins. Chicken tenderloins are much smaller and thinner than the chicken breast. Therefore, they do cook much quicker.
