Meal Planning, Yes or No
Who plans menus? I used to be 100% regimented to sitting down every Sunday evening and writing out what we would eat every day for the following week. It was ritual. It was printed out and pinned to the fridge so everyone knew what was for dinner and I wouldn’t be bombarded with a million questions about “What’s for dinner?”.
Yea, I don’t do that any more. As much as I did love the simplicity of a menu, I found myself a bit of a slave to it even when I didn’t feel like cooking. Don’t get me wrong, menus and meal plans are great! I even have a whole section devoted to menus on the site. They are wonderful, honest. I think sometimes flexibility can be used in planning a menu so you don’t end up cooking that chicken casserole when you feel like a stir fry.
