Recipe Tips

  • Chop onions small โ€“ Make sure to dice your onions really small for this recipe. Although you want the onion flavour, you donโ€™t want to have large pieces of onions in this dish. It makes for a better bite if they are diced small.
  • Fry spices โ€“ Make sure to add the spices to the onions as stated in the recipe. Frying spices give dishes so much flavour. If you add it to the peas directly, the flavour will end up diluted.
  • Can serve them hours after cooking โ€“ These peas can be cooked and served fresh . However, the flavours do enhance after an hour or so. So, you can make them in advance and reheat for serving later.
