If you are all about barbecuing right now, why not take a look at these Ginger and Lime Chicken Kebabs. They are a great alternative to Barbecue Beef Kebabs or the Spiced Moroccan Pork Kebabs.

Why You’ll Want to Make These Kebabs

  • Budget friendly – chicken is relatively inexpensive and with these you can feed a crowd on a budget.
  • Easy to make – this recipe comes together with s simple marinaded chicken on skewers.
  • Prep ahead – what’s great about marinating is that you can do it ahead of time. These can be prepared about an hour before cooking.
  • Full of flavour – They have a delicious unique flavour with the ginger and lime.

Recipe Notes

  • Marinade time – Keep in mind that citrus breaks down chicken, so you don’t want to marinade it any longer than about an hour.
  • Soak the wooden skewers – Soak them in water before using and it will help them from catching fire when you cook on the barbecue. It’s not 100% fool proof, but it’s much better than dry sticks. Here you will see the metal skewers, which I use when there are just a few of us. For crowds, I always use the wooden ones.

I served this chicken with Cucumber Raita and Nann bread.  Great combination.

So what are you all waiting for, break out the barbecue and make the chicken!  Happy cooking.
