Putting together an Easy Halloween Snack Board has never been easier! By simply using some store bought treats, adding a few fruits, olives, cheese and crackers, your board will be ready in no time at all. A fun way to celebrate Halloween for kids and even for the adults.
I’m sticking with the Halloween theme today and bringing you something fun and easy. Snack Boards are a fun way to entertain or made an addition to a party table. We’re midway through October and I know that Halloween festivities have started for many of you. Why not make a fun snack board juts for grazing, as an afternoon snack to share, or even for a weekend party.
Ingredients
- Chips – I used a bag of Halloween style Cheetos . A fun savoury snack to add to the board.
- Crackers – Ritz crackers are always a great snacking choice.
- Fruit – The only fruit I used on this board was clementines.
- Vegetables – I just added some celery sticks.
- Dip – For a dip I just added herb cream cheese.
- Olives – I used a mix of black olives and stuffed green olives.
- Cheese – For this board, I used sliced mozzarella cheese.
- Candy – For this board, I used a variety of different Halloween chocolate and candy. I simply used black licorice, assorted m & m style candy, a mixed bag of Halloween gummy candy and an assorted bag of Halloween chocolates.

Instructions
- Make the pumpkin clementines – Peel the clementines and flatten them down slightly with your hands. Cut a small piece of celery to make the pumpkin stalk. Push it into the top of each clementine.
- Make the black olive spiders – Slice open a black olive. You one side for the back of the spider and cut the other half into thin strips to make the legs. Repeat for as many spiders as you would like.
- Make eyes from the stuffed green olives – Cut open a few of the stuffed green olives to make eyes.
- Add the cream cheese to a small bowl – Top with a black olive spider and a few herbs of your choice.
- Arrange the platter – Place the chips in a bowl. Put the olives in two separate bowls. Use the cut olives to make eyes in two of the olive bowls. Arrange the candy and snacks around the board using your own creativity.

- Prep ahead – If you are planning on making any special items for your board, it’s a good idea to make those before you put together the board.
- Make the spiders – the olives can be cut and prepared the day before and kept in an airtight container in the fridge.
- Cut celery – You can cut celery and store it in water in the fridge to keep it fresh.
- Peel clementines – These can also be done the day before and kept in a ziplock bag in the fridge.
Serving suggestions
- After school Halloween snack – This is a fun board to serve as an after school party type snack either on Halloween or throughout the month of October.
- As part of a party buffet table – Adults will love this easy board as much as kids. You can add it to a party table at any Halloween party.
- To bring to a Halloween potluck – This is a great board to put together to share at a Halloween potluck event.
substitutions
- Chips – I used a bag of Halloween style Cheetos . You can use any kind of savoury Halloween chips or pretzels for this board.
- Crackers – I chose to use Ritz Crackers for this snack board. I saw a very fun way of making Halloween Ritz Crackers that you might like to try. Or any kind of snacking crackers will work.
- Fruit – There are so many options of using fruit on this fun Halloween style snack board. Some alternatives could be to check out this fun Halloween Fruit Tray or come up with your own ideas.
- Vegetables – I just added some celery sticks to use as clementine stalks as well as just some cut up slices. You can add any kind of vegetables like carrot sticks, peppers, radishes, cucumber, cauliflower, broccoli and so much more.
- Dip – For a dip I just added herb cream cheese. You could try the Halloween Guacamole, French Onion Dip or Nacho Cheese Dip would also be great.
- Olives – I used a mix of black olives and stuffed green olives. You could use your favourite type of olives or nuts like Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, almonds or cashew nuts for this Halloween platter.
- Cheese – You can use any kind of cheese on this snack board. I used Mozzarella cheese slices and cut them into triangles. But be creative and use other types of cheese like cheddar, Havarti, Edam, Swiss and many more. You could even use cookie cutters to cut out shapes of Halloween figures with the cheese.
- Candy – You can use any of your favourite Halloween candy for this snack board. Candy like Reeces Peanut Butter Cups, Nerds, Skittles, Mini Kit Kat or any other of your favourites.
- Add more Halloween snacks – Mummy Sausage Rolls, Witches Broomsticks or the Halloween Guacamole would also be great additions to this snack platter.
