- Easy marinade – the marinade is put together in minutes and the wings can be baked as soon as you marinade them.
- Crispy – even without frying, these wings are crispy every single time.
The Ingredients
- Chicken wings – I used pre cut wings for this recipe, but you could purchase them whole and cut the tips off and then cut them in half.
- Olive oil – you can use olive oil or vegetable oil for this recipe. I used extra virgin olive oil

Other Ways To Cook The Chicken Wings
- Deep Fryer -Yes, you can cook these in a deep fryer. Remember, this will be super quick. If going down this route, preheat the oil and test one wing. If it sizzles when it hits the oil, it’s ready to cook. Wings will deep fry in about 7 – 8 minutes.
- Barbecue -Or you might prefer to cook them on the barbecue with it being summer and all. Easy. We’ll go down the gas barbecue route because that’s the kind I use. Barbecue them over a medium heat. You don’t want it too high or you’ll risk burning them before they are cooked. I’d recommend cooking them at about 12- 14 minutes per side. They will be done when they reach an internal temp of 165 degrees F/75 C.
Recipe Tips For Perfect Wings
- Pat the wings dry – before adding the marinade to the chicken wings, make sure to pat them dry with paper towels. This will ensure the marinade sticks on properly.
- Flip the wings half way through baking – by flipping the wings you will ensure they are crispy all over.
- Make sure the oven is hot – if the temperature is is too low, the wings won’t crisp up. So make sure you bake them at the correct temperature.
