NOTE, The full recipe and instructions can be found at the end of the post in the recipe card.
Instructions
- Preheat oven – Preheat oven to 375 f/190 c, and grease a large baking sheet with the olive oil. Set aside.
- Combine bread crumb mixture – In a large shallow bowl combine the bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried basil, dried oregano, salt and black pepper. Combine well.
- Coat turkey – Pat dry the turkey cutlets and coat in the bread crumb mixture. Make sure to press firmly so the mixture sticks.
- Bake turkey – Place all the breaded turkey pieces on the baking tray. Bake for about 25 minutes until the turkey is completely cooked through and slightly golden.
- Serve – Remove from oven and serve hot.
Recipe Tips
- Pat dry the turkey – This recipe doesn’t use milk or egg to coat the turkey. So, it’s very important you pat the turkey dry to get the breadcrumb mixture to stick well.
- Don’t over bake – The turkey will dry out if it is overcooked. This baked perfectly in my oven at 25 minutes. Turkey is fully cooked when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees f.
Substitutions and Alternative Cooking Methods
- Turkey cutlets – You can easily use turkey tenders or cut down a turkey tenderloin. Alternatively, you can even use chicken tenders.
- Parmesan cheese – You can omit the cheese if you like.
- Panko bread crumbs – You can switch these out for homemade bread crumbs or fine store bought bread crumbs.
- Alternative cooking method – These are baked in the oven. Alternatively you can shallow fry them. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep sided skillet. Add the turkey cutlets and cook each side for about 3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

The short answer is yes. ย No lie, they are best hot, but can be eaten after theyโve been sitting around for a while.ย The main difference is the crunch.ย After they sit for a while, they loose their crispness.ย But still great.
