What is Puff Pastry?
Puff pastry is a light and flaky pastry. It’s made from laminated dough that’s made by alternating layers of butter and dough. It doesn’t require any leavening agents and is simply made from butter, flour, water and salt.
Making homemade puff pastry is time consuming and laborious. And you guessed it, I don’t have a recipe on the blog…ha! However, it’s readily available at most supermarkets in either the frozen or the chiller section. It usually comes in pre rolled sheets in circles, squares or rectangles. At times, it will come in block form that you roll our yourself.
Puff pastry is a versatile baking pastry and is used in not only desserts, but appetizers and main courses as well. I’ve put together a great collection below from all the categories I’ve mentioned below.

One of most common ways to use puff pastry in in desserts. You can use it for pies, danishes, turnovers and more. One of my personal favourite desserts using puff pastry is the Lemon Cream Cheese Danish!
