What to Bring to a Potluck
It’s not always easy to know what to bring to a potluck. If the host hasn’t given you a dish to make, you’ll have to wing it so to speak. Here’s a few questions to ask yourself before making you famous dish for that hot and sweltering day!
- Does the host has refrigerator space? Speaking from experience, it’s a must to check beforehand if your host has space for your dish in the fridge. Most often, when people are hosting events, they are limited on space. So check before hand to make sure your chilled salad can stay chilled!
- Does your dish require any cooking or reheating? Again, this is a must to check with the host. Often times, you may make something that needs finished off in the oven or on a barbecue. Don’t assume the host will have space for your dish. Ask before hand. And if in doubt, bring it ready to serve.
- Is it easy to serve? If your dish requires any kind of utensils, make sure you bring them along yourself.
